A method and system is provided for optimizing business gross margin of an organization. The present application provides a method and system for optimizing business gross margin of an organization by managing workforce pyramid of said organization; comprises deriving a multifold parameter enabled promotion scheme for multifold segmentation of workforce in the organization; determining optimal promotion percentages for each multifold segment of workforce in the organization; implementing the multifold parameter enabled promotion scheme for each employee of workforce in the organization by linking of said multifold parameter enabled promotion scheme with attrition risk analysis and career profiling data of each employee in each multifold segment of workforce in the organization; and managing workforce pyramid of the organization by modifying hiring targets and retention measures for each multifold segment of workforce in the organization dynamically.
