INVENTION OF IMPROVED FUEL FILLER CAP ASSY PT NO MEFC-431-284-000 FOR HAWK MILITARY AIRCRAFT

The Fuel Filler cap assy is used on Hawk Fuselage Fuel Tank.The Fuel Filler Cap Assy consists of Filler Cap housing, Cover Plate, Handle, shaft. Plain pin, Nut, Spring, Plain washer, x0 Rings, Wire locking tab and Split pin made Aerospace grade material. The locking of the Fuel Filler cap shall be accomplished by rotating the handle in a clockwise direction on adaptor and pressing down the handle to flush down the filler cap housing. The fuel filler cap Assy is designed & developed to withstand a rated fuel pressure of 50 PSI. The specifications were prepared in accordance with the requirement of Hawk military Aircraft. The Fuel Filler Cap Assy was designed & developed by M/s Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd,and manufactured in coordination with M/s Micron Engineers, Bangalore. The indigenous Fuel Filler Cap Assy had undergone all the stringent qualification testing as recommended by the certification agencies and met all the- laid down specification and qualification requirements. The LRU is having better leak proof capability and has been cleared by Regional Centre for Airworthiness, CEMILAC for using on Hawk military aircraft.
