Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a coal transportation monitoring system and methods thereof wherein a registration module configured to register with users data for providing login credentials; a real-time data acquiring module configured to collect the real-time coal transportation data; a real-time data analysing module configured to cross check the received data by the real-time data acquiring module for providing at least one of an automated mail, message and the like; and a turnaround time (TAT) module configured to monitor the trucks for time bound activity; for recording the number of trips and also to keep the records of the relayed trucks information.
