Disclosed is a system and method for vehicle accident detection and notification. The present disclosure relates to a computer implemented method for vehicle accident detection and notification. The present system comprises a plurality of sensors 102(a) and one or more controllers 102(b), wherein each controller is communicatively coupled with a cloud server 101. Each controller is configured to execute programmed instructions stored in a memory 207 coupled with each controller. Said programmed instructions comprises instructions for receiving one or more sensor inputs. Further, comprises processing the sensor inputs to determine an event indicative of accident being caused to the vehicle 103. Furthermore, comprises identifying one or more passengers within the vehicle 103 based upon a unique identifier (ID) broadcasted by a communicating device of each of the passengers. Further, comprises notifying a message indicating the accident being detected to the one or more contact personals associated to the passengers.
