摘要

Abstract: This work proposes a new integrated ROC-AHP combined approach for the analysis of the fatal accidents related to underground coal mines. The Ranks Weights to 14 Main factors involved in Underground Coal Mine Roof Fall Fatal Accident are obtained using Rank Order Centroid is combined with Absolute Weights of each sub-parameters under each parameter using pair wise comparisons of accident data available and application of Analytical Hierarchy Process is presented as a integrated approach which gives Roof Fall Safety Index (RFSI). This Roof Fall Safety Index (RFSI) is an indicator of the status of the condition of the place in the underground coal mine in terms of safety from the roof fall accident perspective. The Roof Fall Safety Index (RFSI) can be linguistically expressed as Critically Very Unsafe, Highly Unsafe Condition and Unsafe. The Overall Rating enables the safety official to recognize the status of the situation and take appropriate decision.
