ABSTRACT Exemplary embodiments of the present disclosure are directed towards a computer implemented methods and system for mining regular-frequent itemsets, comprising: a memory, at least one processor interoperability coupled with the memory and configured to: scan a database to find a plurality of transactions, each of the plurality of transactions include a plurality of itemsets. Formulate a plurality of pairs of transactions and extract a plurality of common itemsets from the formulated plurality of transactions. Select at least one longest itemset from the plurality of common itemsets and provide a plurality of support threshold values and a plurality of regularity threshold values to obtain a plurality of regular-frequent itemsets. Discard the plurality of itemsets in accordance with the provided plurality of support threshold values and a plurality of regularity threshold values, the provided plurality of support threshold values are minimum and the plurality of regularity threshold values are maximum.
