ENHANCED MULTIMEDIA BROADCAST/MULTICAST SERVICE PROCESSING NETWORK ELEMENT AND BROADCAST METHOD THEREFOR

Disclosed are an enhanced multimedia broadcast/multicast service (eMBMS) processing network element and a broadcast method therefor. The eMBMS processing network element comprises a first transceiver and a first processor. The first transceiver receives an eMBMS bearer application request from an application server the eMBMS bearer application request comprising a broadcast area. The first transceiver sends the broadcast area to a configuration service center and receives multimedia broadcast/multicast service service area (MBMS SA) configuration information returned by the configuration service center according to the broadcast area. The first processor establishes an eMBMS session resource in the broadcast area according to the MBMS SA configuration information. In this way the present invention can solve the problem that a broadcast area cannot be dynamically generated in an eMBMS broadcast mechanism.
