The invention relates to a rotary revolver-type central tower solar receiver for concentrating solar energy systems using a field of heliostats. The invention is composed of modules formed by tube formations stacked in the perimeter of the cylinder and heat transfer chambers aligned on the inner wall of the cylinder. The outer tubes possess two layers of concentric tubes, the exterior of transparent glass and the interior of metal resistant to exposure to direct solar radiation. The receiver rotates to achieve the highest efficiency in the utilization of the energy concentrated by heliostats. The desired temperatures that determine the receiver rotation time depend directly on the energy generation system used and the working fluid therein.
