Linear low density polyethylene (LLDPE) that is prepared with a single site catalyst has relatively low modulus in comparison to a polyethylene of similar melt index and density made with a conventional Zeigler Natta catalyst. Films that are prepared from polyethylene having a low modulus have a soft and flexible "feel", which is undesirable for some packaging applications. The present invention provides a method to increase the modulus of single site catalyzed linear low density polyethylene by mixing it with 10-2 wt. % of high density polyethylene and 200-10000 ppm of a nucleating agent.
