PORTABLE OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR DETECTING, MEASURING AND RECORDING THE ULTRAVIOLET (UV) RADIATION GIVEN IN ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION INDEX (UV-I) SCALE FOR PREVENTING SKIN CANCER.
PORTABLE OPTOELECTRONIC DEVICE FOR DETECTING, MEASURING AND RECORDING THE ULTRAVIOLET (UV) RADIATION GIVEN IN ULTRAVIOLET RADIATION INDEX (UV-I) SCALE FOR PREVENTING SKIN CANCER.
The present invention refers to a portable optoelectronic device for detecting, measuring and recording the UV radiation given in UV-I index, which comprises: a solid-state optoelectronic sensor for detecting the UV radiation striking a detector window located in said optoelectronic sensor; a photodiode included in the optoelectronic sensor for generating photocurrent, which is proportional to the striking solar radiation in the UV-I Radiation index scale; a transconductance amplifier included within the photodiode encapsulated, which function is to convert the photocurrent in a voltage signal (analogical signal) of direct current, conditioning the voltage of said signal by means of a resisto-capacitive network; a power source adjacent the optoelectronic sensor for polarizing the amplifier; an integrated electronic circuit located in the main board of the optoelectronic device, which function is to convert and process the analogical signal of the amplifier in a digital signal, where t his signal represents the magnitude of the striking UV radiation; a Random Access Memory (RAM) for temporarily storing the information of the digital data; a user interface or output port located at one side of the portable optoelectronic device for communicating said optoelectronic device with the exterior through peripheral modules; and a visualization screen for displaying the data temporarily stored in the RAM memory, which is located in the upper surface of the optoelectronic device.
