摘要

The present invention avoids damages to inductive power transformers and related electric equipment, due to ferroresonance in an electric substation. The invention uses a reactor switched by thyristors, which is a device included in flexible systems of alternate current transmission. The reactor switched by thyristors for avoiding ferroresonance in inductive power transformers comprises a valve of thyristors connected in series to a linear inductance, where the thyristors interrupt and connect the inductance to the circuit for avoiding the ferroresonance.
