The present invention refers to a process for the manufacture of steel of easy machinability in a continuous casting machine, which comprises the following steps: a) Transforming scrap into liquid steel and then solidifying again the steel in a billet shape. b) Selecting a mixture to be combined with a number of refills to be introduced into the Electric furnace. c) Making the fusion of the scrap or metallic load by means of an electric arc generated between the electrodes, reaching a temperature of from about 3000°C to about 5000°C, with which the metallic pieces are fused. d) Pouring the steel into a pot. e) Refining the steel by working the liquid mass in order to reach a chemical homogeneity and adjusting the chemical composition. f) Cooling the liquid steel in order to form a billet. g) Changing the billet shape into a hot rolled final product having different shapes, such as a round or hexagonal bar.
