The odor seal has an inlet surface (1) with a drain opening, where a cover (6) is placed on the inlet surface to cover the drain opening. The cover encloses a space in which a cleaning block is inserted. The cover has an opening (15) distributed over the circumference. The cover is arranged on the inlet surface in different positions.
