The invention relates to composite powders, such as Fe or ferromagnetic alloy/soft magnetic ferrite and to a process for preparing the same. According to the invention, the composite powders comprise an iron core with a content of 9.2% Fe powder and an external layer of soft ferrite with a content of 7.5% NiFeOas powder. The process, as claimed by the invention, consists in mixing the Fe/alloy powder and the soft magnetic ferrite, sieving the iron/alloy powder and selecting the granulometric fraction 80 μm, sieving the soft ferrite powder and selecting the granulometric fraction 10 μm, followed by the mixing and wet homogenization thereof with a surface active agent, the heat treatment of the powder mixture at temperatures of 400...900°C, for 30...600 min, to result in composite powders with controlled composition.
