A method and apparatus for enhancing the efficiency of vertical-axis wind turbines consisting of: using a weir to block the negative forces of the wind and converting said negative forces into positive forces with maximum angle of attack; using a weir to divert the neutral forces of the wind and converting said neutral forces into positive forces with maximum angle of attack; further enhancing the efficiency using double blades to increase the surface area impacted by the wind; installing Venturi air jet propulsion system to create typhoon-force winds and harnessing same; using ring flywheels system to ac umulate, store, and dispense rotational kinetic energy; installing magnetic acceleration system to further increase torque and power; employing wing-in-ground levitation system and magnetic bearings to reduce metal-to-metal friction, increase angular velocity, and allow the installation of weighted ring flywheels; and, using Venturi wind tunnel to double or triple wind velocity that, in turn, increases power exponentially.
