Clamping device (1) for a flat object (11), a book or the like to be placed on the back of a car seat (12), characterized by a connecting area (2) and a clamping zone (3), wherein the connecting area (2) is designed at its first end and bonding surface (4) having attachment means or mounting devices for attachment means to the vehicle seat (12) and at its second end, opposite the first end, is arranged a base (5) of the clamping region (3) body, and wherein the clamping region (3) has a first lip (6) and a second lip ( 7) extending from the base (5) upwards body, the distance between the two lips (6, 7) smaller at their free ends than at the ends which are connected to the base (5) body, and wherein at least one of the two lips (6, 7) is of a material that allows elastically away from the other lip (7, 6) against a force.
