Machine for cutting stone in quarry, using diamond wire, which provides a set of pulleys (4 to 8) through which said thread (3) moves, which form a double set of mobile pulleys that result in a thread displacement that is a multiple of the displacement of the drive unit (2) of the thread, along the machine (1). The fixed pulleys (7, 8) have interchangeable positions at the ends of the machine (1), which allow sectioning the quarry area that is in front or towards the rear of the machine (1). For its part, the machine chassis (1) is mounted on a lower chassis (12) moving by means of a transverse cylinder (10) in a plane that places the cutting wire (3) in a position closer or further away from the quarry wall in which the thread makes a perpendicular cut to said front.
