An assembly (100) for the restoration of a gastro-oesophageal reed valve, comprising: an elongate member (102) configured to be delivered through a throat, down an adjacent esophagus and reach an associated stomach, the elongated member presenting a distal end; a tissue shaper (110) carried at the distal end of the elongate member for placement in the stomach, the fabric shaper including a chassis (114) and a hook (116), the chassis extending from the elongated member, presenting the chassis and the hook an articulated connection between them; an invaginator (155) carried by the elongate member (102), the invaginator being configured to attach to the esophagus; and the elongate member (102) and the invaginator (155) being coupled for a limited relative axial movement and a fundamentally free relative rotational movement.
