Process for manufacturing a machine support (10, 11) for a wind power plant, in which a main support (10) is manufactured through casting a melt as casting of cast iron with graphite balls and a backplate (11) and casting is made and in which is provided at least one suitable casting (25) for welding, which is partially melted during manufacture of the main support (10) in one piece rear tie (24 ) of the main support (10) and is connected or bonded with the back support (11) outside the main support (10).
