A method for producing an agglomerated powder cemented or ceramic metal without grinding carbide, where the powder constituents are subjected to a mixing operation without milling comprising the steps of: forming a slurry of one or more powders forming hard constituents, binder metal powders and liquid mixture, wherein said one or more powders selected borides, carbides, nitrides or carbonitrides of metals from groups 4, 5 and 6 of the periodic table; mixing and dehydrating said slurry to form an agglomerated powder, the mixing is carried out in a resonant acoustic mixer, this mixer being contactless in which acoustic waves achieve resonance conditions are used.
