Methods and systems for generating appropriate meshes for RANS / LES hybrid modeling according to which the mesh of an object (11) that moves through a fluid medium that is used in its design or analysis in connection with the hybrid method is generated in the following steps: a) create an interior "C" topology (21) around said object (11) for the description of the boundary layer; b) create an exterior "C" topology (23) covering a region of the space that includes the separation region; c) locate the separation region and adapt it to said interior and exterior topologies "C" (21, 23) so that the exterior "C" topology (23) adapts to the size of the separate region and the interior "C" topology (21) adapts to the size of the boundary layer; d) refine the mesh in the separation region according to the specifications of the RANS / LES method.
