A method, comprising: performing (920), in response to an input in a cell (510-2), a number of measurements of at least the cell in which has been entered for a period of time, characterized in that measurements are performed during the time period according to a selected range more frequently than and independent of configurations existing measurement based on rules discontinuous reception and regardless of configurations existing measurement based on monitoring requirements of the control channel physical downlink; and an end (953), after the expiration of the time period of performing the measurements have been performed in response to the entry into the cell (510-2).
