A method for communication with a destination via multiple satellite links (222) using different frequency bands, respectively, including: using the C, Ku and Ka bands for data communication on a single satellite dish (221) and a single router ( 226), and measure link performance parameters (224) during data communication, where data communication to the destination is allowed by a selected band of the bands according to a comparison between the measured link performance parameters and predetermined criteria and also including the steps of: a. measure real-time link performance parameters (301); b. storing the link performance parameters measured at the destination (224b); C. update stored link performance parameters in real time; d. determine a link that serves as a guaranteed link for communication (302); and. determine another alternative link, the guaranteed link having a production lower than the production of the other alternative link (302); F. simultaneously establish a plurality of physical connections by the satellite link (s) from source to destination (224); and g. Switch between the guaranteed and alternative links in order to uniquely establish a single IP link between the source and the destination at any given time (303, 304).
