PACEMAKER WITH NEUROCARDIOGENIC SYNCOPE DETECTION AND THERAPY UTILIZING MINUTE VENTILATION INPUT

A pacing and sensingalgorithm (800) which uses respiratory input todetect impending neurocardiogenicsyncope is described. This algorithm (800),when used with conventional pacemakers,may be utilized to prevent recurrentsyncope in patients with isolated recurrentneurocardiogenic syncope, as well inpatients with established indications forpacemakers (e.g., conduction system disease,sudden cardiac death prophylaxis, cardiacresynchronization) and concurrentneurocardiogenic syncope.
