An apparatus for varying a camber of an aircraft wing comprises an aircraftwing, and a flexible trailing edge connected to an aft end of the wing. Theflexibletrailing edge comprises a fixed length flexible upper surface, a rigid lowersurfaceextending from an actuation hinge, at least one actuation link on an innersurface ofthe rigid lower surface extending between the actuation hinge and a secondactuationhinge, a tail piece connected at the second hinge to the rigid lower surfaceandinterconnecting the flexible upper surface, the tail piece conforming to ashapeinduced by flexing of the upper surface, and at least one slider link havingforwardand aft ends, the aft end being secured to the flexible trailing edge rigidlower surfaceat the actuation hinge. The apparatus overcomes deficiencies associated withprior artapparatuses for varying aircraft wing camber.
