A power conversion control device includes amodulation-wave generating unit generating a modulationwave based on output voltage phase angle command andmodulation factor, a carrier-wave generating unit that, ina case of non-overmodulation state, generates a triangularwave or saw-tooth wave as the carrier wave, and, in a caseof overmodulation state, generates, as the carrier wave, asignal fixed to -1 in a first section that is apredetermined range centering on timing corresponding to apeak position of the modulation wave, generates, as thecarrier wave, a signal fixed to +1 in a second sectionobtained by shifting the first section by a half cycle ofthe modulation wave, and generates, as the carrier wave, atriangular wave or saw-tooth wave in remaining thirdsection, and a comparing unit that compares the carrierwave and the modulation wave and generates a switchingsignal.
