Thermal methods for developing hydrocarbon deposits allow morecomplete extractions of mineral deposits. Fluids are pumped into formations,alternating current is supplied and electric arcs are generated betweenelectrodes in adjacent wells. Arcs are moved within conductive layers in thespace between adjacent wells. The working fluid is electrically conductive.Areas with increased conductivity are artificially created in the formations.Electrodes consist of a conductive fluid in heating wells. At the surface,capacitors such as alternating current pulses are connected into the circuitofalternating high-voltage current sources. Voltage at electrodes of theconductive fluid is increased and formations are heated. Heating wells in newdeposits are lined with electrically-insulating pipes. Wells are arranged at adistance from one another. Producing wells are positioned between heatingwells that are repeatedly reamed and their diameter is enlarged to improveinfiltration of electrically-conductive fluid into formations and to enhanceyieldduring production.
