The invention relates to a method for adjusting the azimuth of a wind energy plant, wherein during an azimuthal rotation of a nacelle (1) comprising a rotor (2, 3, 4) on a tower (15) of the wind energy plant, at least one azimuth braking device (13) is acted upon with a constant residual pressure for generating a constant residual holding moment. In the method according to the invention, the constant residual pressure and/or the constant residual holding moment is adjusted prior to the start of the azimuthal rotation subject to at least one wind speed parameter (33), and the residual pressure and/or the residual holding moment is not changed during the azimuthal rotation, in particular during the time of current feed to the azimuth drive motors.
