A method and system for promoting, offering for sale and selling national andinternationalpatent application rights and patent rights in inventions are provided. Apatent applicationdatabase has stored therein patent application information associated with theinventions. Aserver computer is connected to the Internet and to the patent applicationdatabase. The servercomputer generates data indicative of an interactive Internet website forpromoting, offering forsale and selling the national and international patent application and patentrights in theinventions. The interactive Internet website enables communication between theserver computerand users of client computers connected to the Internet. The server computerreceives via theInternet website patent application information and stores the same in thepatent applicationdatabase. The server computer retrieves the patent application informationfrom the patentapplication database and provides the same via the Internet website. Theserver computerretrieves from the patent application database contact preference informationassociated with anauthorized representative of a patent application and, establishes acommunication link independence upon the contact preference information via the Internet website.
