A controller and method are usable to control the provision ofelectrical power from a local electrical network to a power grid. If it isdeterminedthat changes in the power grid voltage are correlated with the provision ofpower tothe power grid, the power that is being provided to the power grid ismanipulated sothat the rate of change of the wattage that is provided to the power grid doesnotexceed a predetermined ramp rate. Such a manipulation is accomplished byadjustingan operational parameter of one or more electrical loads that are connectedwith thelocal electrical network.
