Systems and methods of processing electronic payment authorization aredisclosed. Thesystem includes a computing device where an online payment transaction isinitiated. Thecomputing device transmits a payment authorization request to a merchantserver, and themerchant server transmits a corresponding authorization request to a virtualissuer server. Uponreceiving the corresponding authorization request, the virtual issuer servertransmits a request toan origin issuer server to obtain a first indication of whether the onlinepayment transactioninitiated at the computing device should be approved. In parallel with thetransmission of therequest to obtain the first indication, there is a transmission of a requestto a third-party advisorserver to obtain a second indication of whether the online payment transactioninitiated at thecomputing device should be approved. Based on one or more of the firstindication and thesecond indication, it is determined whether to approve the online paymenttransaction initiated atthe computing device.
