The invention relates to a method for producing a charge-carrier generating layer (10) for an organic light-emitting component, comprising the following steps: A) forming a first charge-carrier conduction layer (1), which is predominantly conductive for a first charge carrier type, B) applying an intermediate layer (2) to the first charge-carrier conduction layer (1), and C) applying a second charge-carrier conduction layer (3), which is predominantly conductive for a second charge carrier type different from the first charge carrier type, to the intermediate layer, wherein at least one of the first charge-carrier conduction layer (1), the intermediate layer (2), and the second charge-carrier conduction layer (3) is applied by means of an atomic layer deposition method or a molecular layer deposition method. The invention further relates to a method for producing an organic light-emitting component having a charge-carrier generating layer and an organic light-emitting component having a charge-carrier generating layer.
