The present application relates to the technical field of communications. Disclosed are an application downloading method and an application pushing method, device and system, used for solving the problems of inconvenient application downloading and upgrading and poor user experience in the prior art. The application downloading method comprises: sending an application downloading request to a server; receiving a downloading request reply message from the server, the downloading request reply message carrying push diameters of a to-be-downloaded application; and starting, according to the push parameters, an eMBMS so as to download the to-be-downloaded application from a broadcast/multicast service center (BMSC) by means of the eMBMS.
