The object of the invention is a guided optical device (113, 113a, 113b) for observation of a moving object, comprising an input system (400), through which radiation is guided into an optical device, a first moveable mirror (401) mounted pivotally relative to the first axis (01) and reflecting radiation passing through the input system (400) propagating after the reflection towards an objective (404) focusing the radiation on a capturing device (405). The objective (404) is an objective with external pupil, and between the first moveable mirror (401) and the objective there is a second moveable mirror (402) mounted pivotally relative to a second axis (02) and located in the entrance pupil of the objective. Between the input system (400) and the capturing device (405) there is located a steerable focusing system (403). The first mirror (401) is engaged with a first drive (401a), and the second mirror (402) is engaged with a second drive (402a). The object of the invention is also a system for observation of biometric features provided with a guided optical device (113, 113a, 113b), a first wide-angle camera (111) and a second wide-angle camera (112) connected to a central unit (201). The central unit is adapted for capturing and analysing image from the first camera, from the second camera, and from the guided optical device, and for outputting control signals for the guided optical device. The guided optical device (113, 113a, 113b) is the device according to the invention. The control signals are control signals for the first drive (401a), the second drive (402a) and the steerable focusing system (403).
