Provided is a travel assistance device, comprising: a voice information detection unit which acquires and recognizes a user's speech vocalization and outputs a recognition resu an information processing unit which generates evaluation information from the recognition resu a position information detection unit which detects the position whereat the evaluation information is generated; a reliability determination unit which, using posting information which is posted on the Internet within a predetermined interval with the present date and time as a reference and from within a predetermined range of distance with the position whereat the evaluation information is generated as a reference, determines the reliability of the evaluation information and determines whether transmission thereof is permissible; a communication unit which carries out the transmission to a travel assistance server of the evaluation information which the reliability determination unit has determined to transmit, the receiving of the evaluation information which the travel assistance server stores, and the receiving of the posting information which is posted on the Internet; and an information provision unit which provides the evaluation information which the communication unit has received from the travel assistance server.
