Provided are a method, a device, a core network and a system for terminal switching between base stations in an LTE system. The method for terminal switching between base stations in an LTE system comprises: when detecting that a terminal switches from a source base station to a target base station and determining that the terminal fails to switch from the source base station to the target base station, generating a link keep-alive notification between the source base station and the terminal; and sending the link keep-alive notification to the source base station so as to keep a link between the source base station and the terminal.
