The invention relates to a transport module for people with reduced mobility, which can be installed on a vehicle, said vehicle being of the type comprising a chassis with a location for the driver, and said transport module comprising a load body configured in the form of a container, which load body can be lifted in relation to the vehicle, and comprising a loading/unloading opening in the front wall, and which load body also comprises a rear end portion and second lifting means between the rear end portion and the rest of the load body, such that the rear end portion can be moved vertically in relation to the rest of the load body, with an entrance/exit opening being provided in the rear end portion, and with a common load volume being defined between the rear end portion and the rest of the load body. The invention also relates to a self-propelled vehicle comprising the transport module.
