Provided are a subtitle control method and system for a KTV song selection system, belonging to the field of communications; the method comprises: obtaining subtitle information of a selected song (101); if the subtitles are in a foreign language, then translating the subtitles (102); while playing the foreign-language subtitles, also playing the translated subtitles (103). The method has the advantage of being capable of playing translated subtitles.
