In order to propose an energy plan suited to a residence, an energy planning system (10) is provided with the following: a detection unit (110) that detects the state of energy equipment in a residence; an estimation unit (120) that estimates a future lifestyle of a resident of the residence; and a proposal unit (150) that determines information pertaining to an energy plan for the residence on the basis of the detection results from the detection unit (110) and the lifestyle estimated by the estimation unit (120), and that outputs such information.
