#$%^&*AU2016204514A120170119.pdf#####ABSTRACT This invention relates to the improvement of the method that agricultural chemical/water mixture application is applied to row crops such as large fields of vegetable by supporting a spray boom arm, using simple cables, fitted with a plurality of fan spray heads. This invention is simple and uses less materials and complicated manufacturing processes as the boom is a simple single section of commercial suitable metal or other suitable material such as plastic and supporting the boom by a group of cables. An agricultural boom is made up from square tubulates steel or aluminium sections. An inner boom section and an outer boom section that are joined together with either bolts of a hinge assembly in mid portions of the boom. The outer boom section is mounted to the inner boom with at least two groups of cables or a supporting it in horizontal position when driven along an agricultural field and when in operation. At least one "L" shaped arms or "T" bar arms are connected each to a hydraulic cylinder that provides for the stability of the boom section to be supported in a horizontal position. Each boom sections is mounted to a universal joint at the inner part of the boom section and supported against downward loads by separate pairs or group of cables that have ends joined at the base of the respective boom section and connected to the outer or free ends of the respective boom sections at common points. The cables permit the boom sections to pivot about their respective axes in the universal joint with at least one of the cables carrying tension loads and causing the outer or free ends of the boom sections to raise while the other cable group is slack.
