A data access method and device for a storage system. The storage system comprises a plurality of storage devices. The storage system provides a plurality of storage objects. The storage objects are composed of storage resources on the storage devices. The plurality of storage objects comprise one or more writable storage objects and a plurality of read-only storage objects. The method comprises: in response to receiving a writing request (1610, 1710), writing data into a writable storage object (1620, 1720); writing the data into the writable storage object in an additional writing manner; when the writable storage object is filled (1630, 1730, 1850), setting the storage object to be a read-only storage object (1640, 1740, 1860); and in response to receiving a reading request (1650, 1750, 1870), reading the data from the read-only storage object (1660, 1760, 1875).
