Provided are a magnetically impelled arc welding method capable of suppressing weld defects, a weldment in which weld defect generation is suppressed, and a method for manufacturing the weldment. The magnetically impelled arc welding method comprises a preparation step, a main heating step (S30), and a welding step. In the main heating step (S30), with the end faces of a first metal tube and a second metal tube positioned facing each other, an arc discharge is generated between the end faces of the metal tubes, while at the same time a magnetic field is applied between the end faces to move the arc discharge position between the end faces, to thereby heat a position 2 mm away from the end faces of the metal tubes to a welding temperature. In the welding step, the end faces are butt-welded together after the main heating step (S30). In the main heating step (S30), the current density of the current flowing between the first metal tube and the second metal tube is 0.401-0.820 A/mm2, and the voltage between the first metal tube and the second metal tube is 23-27 V with a voltage fluctuation range of ±1 V or less.
