This lifestyle management assistance device includes: a lifestyle-related information acquisition unit that acquires lifestyle-related information which relates to the lifestyle of a subject; a psychological state evaluation unit that obtains, on the basis of the lifestyle-related information about the subject, the value of a psychological state index which indicates the level of self-efficacy for lifestyle improvement; an action state evaluation unit that obtains, on the basis of the lifestyle-related information about the subject, the value of an action state index which indicates the level of an action history for lifestyle improvement; a type determination unit that determines the type of the subject by using classification based on a plurality of index axes including the psychological state index and the action state index; and an information providing control unit that provides assistance information according to the type of the subject.
