FILE SYSTEM DIRECTORY TREE REPAIR METHOD AND DEVICE

A file system directory tree repair method and device, by means of adding parent directory path information to the metadata of each directory. When the metadata of a directory tree is corrupted, forming a number N of child directory trees by means of metadata traversal, on the basis of child directory path information in the metadata of each directory; then, on the basis of parent directory path information of the sub-root directories of the child directory trees, determining the corrupted directory; on the basis of the parent directory path information in a sub-root directory of a child directory tree, reestablishing the metadata of an upper-level directory of level R adjacent to said sub-root directory, i.e. reestablishing the corrupted directory metadata; on the basis of the reconstructed metadata for the upper-level directory of level R adjacent to the sub-root directory, establishing said N child directory trees as a single directory tree. The original file system directory tree is thereby restored, reducing the impact of file system directory tree corruption.
