A lightweight slightly-closed-pore corundum composite refractory material and a method for preparing same. The raw materials of the refractory material comprise 95-99 parts by weight of α-Al2O3 micro-powder and 1-5 parts by weight of clinker dolomite. The additives of the refractory material comprise 2-15 parts by weight of nano alumina sol, 5-15 parts by weight of a carbohydrate polymer, and 30-50 parts by weight of an organic alcohol. A method for preparing the refractory material comprises: performing mixing and wet-grinding to obtain a slurry; placing the slurry in a mold, keeping the mold at 15-25ºC for 6-12 hours and then keeping the mold at 60-90ºC for 6-12 hours, and performing demolding; drying a blank obtained after demolding at 110-200ºC for 24-36 hours, and keeping the blank at 1800-2000ºC for 2-5 hours. The lightweight slightly-closed-pore corundum composite refractory material has characteristics of low volume density, small average pore diameter, and high closed porosity.
