A method and apparatus for starting an Android debug bridge, and a terminal. The method for starting an Android debug bridge comprises: detecting a first pressing duration of a first specified key on a first terminal (100); and if the first pressing duration reaches a first specified duration, starting an Android debug bridge in the first terminal, so that the first terminal transmits a control command to a second terminal by means of the Android debug bridge (101). When it is detected that a first pressing duration of a first specified key on a first terminal reaches a first specified duration, an ADB in the first terminal is started, so that the ADB still can be started in a case in which a USB or a TP cannot be normally used. The ADB can be quickly started when the USB and the TP are unavailable, thereby improving the reliability and efficiency of starting the ADB.
