A compact dustproof heat dissipation device and a projection device. The compact dustproof heat dissipation device comprises: a blower assembly (31) communicated with a heat source air inlet duct (11), cover boards (32) disposed on two sides of the blower assembly (31), and filter assemblies (33) disposed between the cover boards (32) and the blower assembly (31), the blower assembly (31) comprising a blower (310) having a two-way air inlet function, and a mounting frame (311) for fixing the blower (310), and the filter assemblies (33) being disposed on two sides of the blower (310). The compact dustproof heat dissipation device uses a symmetric structure formed by disposing the blower (310) having a two-way air inlet function as the center and disposing the filter assemblies (33) on two sides, such that air flow passing through the interior of a color wheel module (10) becomes large. The filter assemblies (33) symmetrically disposed on two sides not only ensure dust filtration during air inlet, but also can prevent dust from returning from an air outlet duct (12) to enter a color wheel cavity in a non-working state. The symmetric structure having a two-way air inlet function enables the entire dustproof heat dissipation device to be compact in layout, and saves the interior space of equipment under the condition that the heat dissipation effect of the color wheel module (10) is ensured.
