A method of detecting an axial displacement, comprising: obtaining an axial displacement (d1, d2) detected by each axial displacement sensor (25-1, 25-2) in a plurality of axial displacement sensors (25-1, 25-2), wherein the detection direction of each axial displacement sensor (25-1, 25-2) is parallel to a rotor axis of a rotary member (21); the plurality of axial displacement sensors (25-1, 25-2) are all located on the same side of the detection surface and are uniformly arranged along a circumferential direction of the rotary member (21); and determining a target axial displacement (d _ref) of the rotating member (21) on the basis of the obtained plurality of axial displacements (d1, d2).
