[Problem] To provide a method for reducing eye strain with which it is possible to perform an optimum correction in accordance with the degree of phoria and muscular strength of the eye muscle, which differ between individuals, and, when the degree of phoria and muscular strength of the eye muscle change with age, to respond to the change at any time. [Solution] A method for reducing eye strain caused by phoria, a decrease in muscular strength or a lack of muscular strength of the eye muscle, or the like, wherein: the lens center C of left and right spectacle lenses 2 for correcting the vision of a wearer is made eccentric in relation to the viewpoint center 5a of one or both of left and right eyes 5 in the direction in which the phoria, the decrease in muscular strength, or the lack of muscular strength is compensated; and the amount of eccentricity is adjusted in accordance with the degree of the phoria, decrease in muscular strength, or lack of muscular strength.
