JET-GAS LIFT SYSTEM AND METHOD FOR PUMPING WELL FLUIDS

A system (52) and method for lifting well fluids to a surface location from a subterranean formation (56) that is penetrated by a wellbore (54) utilizes a tubing string (66) positioned within the wellbore (54) for withdrawing well fluids from the wellbore (54). A jet-gas pump (76) having a flow tube (78) is in communication with the tubing string (66). A jet tube (104) located within the interior of the flow tube (78) receives a compressed gas to be discharged from an outlet (124) of the jet tube (104) to create a pressure drop within the flow tube (78). This facilitates the lifting of well fluids from the tubing string (66) where it is discharged through the flow tube outlet (124).
